Legend of Loxley was one of 41 stallions licensed by the NRW (North Rhineland Westfalen) studbook at Munster Hahndorf in November 2009. Legend of Loxley is by Lord Loxley, a legend in his own lifetime! Lord Loxley was the Vice World Champion and German 5YO Riding Horse Champion in 2004.
At the Bundeschampionate no other horse in Lord Loxley's division came close to his power, suppleness and ground coverage. Lord Loxley danced to victory after a virtually immaculate ride with great transitions and balance in every gait, for which they received a brilliant 9.5 score. "This was top class. He's a world class horse," judge Christoph Hess commented, "he has a spectacular trot with a very good hind leg that stay closed. He keeps the nose nicely in front and is right on the vertical. His walk is through the back, his canter is excellent, uphill and forward."
Lord Loxley has proven that he is prepotent and his progeny have inherited his movement and exceptional rideability. Laetare by Lord Loxley was the Bundeschampion 2008 and FS Lord de Luxe and Leyla were also finalists. FS La Noir was Bundeschampioness 2007. Lord Loxley has already 16 licensed sons. Lord Loxley has a dressage index of 160 points (top 1% Germany). Legend of Loxley's full brother (Lauderdale) stood at the well known stud Gestut Vorwerk, they also stood the well known stallions Rhodiamant, Royal Diamond, Don Gregory, however the owner retired and the stud was sold in 2009. Lauderdale left an impressive visiting card at his 30 day test in Neustadt/Dosse, with uniformly high scores for his gaits, rideability and jumping ability. For his character and trot he received an 8.75, and 8.63 for his canter, an 8.00 for his walk and 8.25 for rideability. He ranked third in the dressage index with a final score of 8.44.
His show winning dam Dina is a Premium mare that placed at elementary (L) level dressage. The dam's sire Diamantino won his licensing as well as his stallion performance test and was trained up to advanced level. The great grandsire Damhirsh competed at Grand Prix level. His granddam Wildrose won eventing competitions up to medium (M) level as well as elementary (L) level dressage and show jumping classes.
Through the Thoroughbred stallion Windesi xx in the third generation, valuable refinement bloodlines have been added to Legend of Loxley's pedigree. The great ganddam Alceste also produced sporthorses - advanced level showjumpers.
